Taxi Accident Claims - what to do

Did you know? During 2017 there were over 18,000 reported motorbike accidents in the UK, of which 349 were fatal. 19% of road traffic accidents involved a motorbike.

Making a taxi accident claim isn’t always easy. Regardless of who’s fault it is, you as the passenger/paying customer should be able to claim either through the taxi ‘s insurance or the third party insurance.

As long as you have the vehicle registration of the taxi you was travelling in or proof /evidence of the company you booked with, then we should be able to assist you with your taxi accident claim.

Ideally the following information will make the claim process easier and quicker:

  • Taxi car registration number

  • Third party car registration numbers

  • Taxi company name and any evidence such as text message confirming the booking/arrival time etc.

  • Pictures of the accident and the cars involved. As a passenger you may have been in a lot of shock, so we deal with many taxi accident claims with no pictures.

  • Taxi drivers name or ID from taxi driver – Again, it’s not uncommon to make a claim without this information. We can obtain these details on your behalf later.

How much is a taxi accident claim worth?

We have dealt with hundreds of taxi accident claims in the past, many starting from minor whiplash £1000+ to serious head injuries worth £100,000+

In order to manage your expectations and help you understand what your claim is worth, we offer a free 30 minute over the phone consultation. If you would like to know more, please fill in the contact form below and we will get in touch ASAP.
